Walkington Victorian Hayride weekend June 2009

Although the Hayride procession through Bishop Burton and Beverley has sadly passed into history the village continues to hold a variety of events over the third weekend in June, with the joint aims of having fun and raising money for local charities. The 2009 Hayride fell on the weekend of 20/21 June, with a full programme of events taking place.

This year the chosen charities were The Muscular Dystrophy Society and Dove House Hospice

Friday 19th June

Victorian Barn Dance

8.00pm - midnight

 At Northlands Farm, Northgate

 Pie and pea supper served at 9.00pm

Saturday 20th June

(1) Victorian Garden Party 2.00pm

At White House, East End

Beverley Brass Band, choral singing

Cream Teas

Numerous stalls, pony rides and much more.

(2) Great Victorian Treasure Hunt
